Testimonial in support of Coady Consultants

January 2009

Rathbone received strategy support from Coady Consultancy over a period of 12 months 2007-2008, based on a structured consultancy agreement. John Dooner worked alongside senior and middle managers providing leadership and management support at all levels throughout the organisation and across a wide geographical area. The key element of this support was the development of a strategic framework to; develop, deliver and sustain Rathbone’s Pre-16 programmes.

John came into the organisation following a number of operational, organisational and quality issues and poor outcomes from inspection for this area of our provision. We faced a number of challenges which required someone with the experience and expertise in this area of education. John not only provided a strategic framework, but also provided training for staff, one to one support for managers and informal coaching as required.

During the year John managed and led significant aspects of our 14-16 strategy, prepared centres to meet and achieve Ofsted requirements, developed and implemented key policies and procedures and advised the Management Board on the direction required for Rathbone to succeed in this area of work.

John was keen to ensure that the new policies and procedures were embedded and sustained, and was instrumental in the recruitment of a senior professional to continue and further develop the work started by Coady Consultants.

John is a true professional, demonstrated through his commitment, energy and enthusiasm to work with staff to achieve better outcomes for young people and sustained improvement for the organisation.

I would have no hesitation in recommending John Dooner and Coady Consultants to undertake similar work.
